Plato’s properties for the Timmins Gold Project are located in the Timmins-Kirkland Lake area in the western portion of the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

This roughly east-west trending belt forms part of the Superior Craton, is approximately 800 kilometres long and 240 kilometres wide and is comprised of Archean volcanic, sedimentary and intrusive rocks cut by occasional Proterozoic diabase dikes.
