Mr. Martin Bourgoin B.Sc., P.Geo.
Mr. Bourgoin is a professional geologist with over 21 years of experience in various capacities, and is the founder and president of MRB & Associates, a geological consulting firm based in Val d'Or, Que.
Mr. Bourgoin also held the position of chief geologist with McWatters mining Inc. (Sigma Mines division), a 100,000-ounce-per-year-producing gold mine located in Val d'Or. While at McWatters, Mr. ourgoin played an instrumental role in the preliminary stages of the assessment of the near-surface gold resource for open-pit potential of the 63-year-old underground gold mine. The resulting open-pit operation is currently in its fourth year of commercial production.
Mr. Bourgoin was also employed as a geologist for a wide range of industry-leading companies including Placer Dome Inc. and Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd.
Within the mineral exploration field, Mr. Bourgoin's experience includes ore reserve and resource estimation using geostatistical bloc model evaluation; bloc model evaluation using Gemcom software, and subsequent open-pit and underground mine design, mine planning, and production, preparation, and supervision of exploration programs; and the preparation of qualifying reports in accordance to National Instrument 43-101 standards.
Mr. Jason D. Ross, Geologist
Mr. Ross is a geologist with over 15 years experience in the management, evaluation and development of mineral exploration projects. Over the last five years he has worked as a private consultant for several privately controlled investment funds. Several recent assignments have included; a titanium mineral sands projects in Australia, base metal projects in Quebec, Peruvian iron and Au/Cu deposits, various tantalum deposits in Africa and Diamond exploration potential in Namibia.
From 1998 to 2002 Mr. Ross was project geologist, founding director and Vice President of Titanium Corporation of Canada Ltd. (now known as Titanium Corporation Inc.) Ross was instrumental in guiding the company from its origins as a privately controlled company to its current state as a publically traded corporation with a market cap in excess of $100 million.
Prior to this he has worked extensively in Northern Quebec, Labrador and Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
Mr. Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in geology from Mount Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick.
Mr. Peter Karelse, P.Geo.
Mr Karelse is a professional geologist and a member of the APGO. He has over 25 years experience in the mining industry in varying capacities primarily related to managing the advancement of exploration projects and performing resource evaluations for projects located in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt and throughout North America. He is currently president of PK Geologic Services Ltd.; a consulting firm based in Sudbury, Ontario.
Previously, Mr. Karelse held the position of Manager of Exploration for Crowflight Minerals Ltd. While at Crowflight Mr. Karelse was instrumental in advancing the Bucko Lake nickel deposit located near Thompson Manitoba. from an advanced stage exploration project to a project approaching commercial production. He was designated as the “Qualified Person” for this project. Additionally, as Project Development Geologist, Mr. Karelse was a key member while at the former Texasgulf Inc. in advancing the Hoyle Pond gold deposit from an advanced exploration project through feasibility into production. Hoyle Pond is currently in production by Kinross, and to the end of 2002, the mine has produced 1.7 million ounces of gold from 4.2 million tonnes of ore at a grade of 15.1 grams per tonne.
Mr. Karelse was also employed by various companies such as Falconbridge Ltd., Canarc Ltd., Minera Aztec S.A. de C.V., and Beartooth Platinum Ltd.
Associated with his activities in project development, Mr. Karelse has broad experience in the determination of mineral resources and reserves using geostatistical block model evaluations, 3D modeling and drill target generation using Gemcom and related software. He has a ‘hands on’ approach to project management. Mr. Karelse has acted as “Qualified Person” and prepared qualifying reports for several projects in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 standards.
